If I could leave "0" stars I would, because that would explain my frustration with this awful place they call a school. If it wasn't for the friends I made at McGill I would have left a long time ago. The administration cares only for your money. If you're rich than your time here will be fine . Sure, the teachers are great! But, the carelessness of the administration is just absolutely outrageous.
I have worked at 5 different high schools both public and private in three different states in 38 years. This is a large private high school with a wide variety of programs. Students can focus on extracurricular interests and programs like athletics and/or band while taking less time consuming classes. Students can take Aquinas Academy level coursework that includes and exceeds Advanced Placement and Baccalaureate programs (I have taught in both of those at nearby schools). Students leave the school and do well in the military, junior colleges, state universities, elite colleges (like MIT or Yale) and Military Academies. I used ACT scores and College Board Benchmark Data from 2012 and found that our graduates ON AVERAGE when compared to the average state student: are 1.4 times more likely that other state students to make a B in the first college English class, 1.7 times more likely to make a B in the first college Math course.. 1.9 times more likely to make a B in the first college Science course. So the data confirms my suspicions. This is a fabulous school. 4 of my 6 children went here (even when I taught elsewhere) and all of them have degrees or are in the pipeline to get one. Education is much more than academics and the school is definitely Catholic with an emphasis on character, faith and knowledge. Superior opportunity for students who attend but, of course, opportunity is what you make of it!

I completely enjoyed my 4 years at McGill Toolen. I made lifelong friends and learned so much there. I believe that because of McGill Toolen my time in college has been much easier. The community and staff are wonderful and I would never change anything about it.
I love McGill
