Thank God we're moving back to central Florida soon- because the stores here in Mobile are scuzzy and lousy.
Super sweet employees! Love the experience! :))
I've been shopping in Tampa for 20 years and this location on airport is one of the WORST. Stale bad produce and lousy meat. Many of the staff act like thugs there's an palpable gangsta style mentality amongst some of the staff. If you're a white person you're not welcomed in the store. THe meat department is a pain to deal with- woe be unto the customer who complains because they will target you. One of the meat department guys (idiot named Nathan) tried to bum rush my husband in the store. THe manger doesn't give a darn.
Our past experience in particular, I wanted to share. This past Saturday, pre- Hurricane Nate, they were extremely busy. They seemed to be overstaffed - I'm sure in preparation - and there were many shoppers stocking up before the storm. This was the most organized team work I have seen in a store. Every associate I saw was working very hard, but the service didn't suffer.
Nothing is fresh here the store is too big and too poorly supplied.
Someone had accidently put parsley where the cilantro should have gone. I asked the closest associate if they had any, and she started to check right away. Seemingly new, she wasn't familiar with what I was looking for, so another associate stepped in. She, very politely, explained the difference and help her co-worker, located what I was looking for, and I went on my way.
From England did not know much bout the area but with the help of the gents and ladies i found me way around along with good sandwiches.
A dysfunctional lousy store.
This customer service and team work is so lost amongst people today. Keep up the GREAT work team - it is greatly appreciated!! I hope you and your families fared okay in the storm.
The store is ALWAYS clean and the staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful.
This is, by far, one of the best grocery stores in the states - most definitely the best in Mobile. We have lived in several cities in the state of Alabama, and have been to many Publix locations - none of them have the cleanliness, stock, and service this location provides. Everyone is ALWAYS professional. courteous, and helpful.
