The service is good. The facilitis are clean. The technicians are awesome and very attentive. The car selection is decent.
Disorganized, dishonest, incompetent staff. I had my car delivered there in my absence. CarMax rep performing the appraisal said it would not crank and could not be jumped. Appraisal value was therefore very low ($500) because they could not ascertain the mileage. I went there and cranked it myself with no issues. CarMax rep acted surprised and said she did not know that the key had to be inserted in order to crank it (true). She then recorded mileage and told me car would be re-appraised and they would contact me with new number. Four days later, still no contact from CarMax. I call them to find out that the verbiage in the original offer had been revised to say that the car would in fact run but that the odometer was suddenly non functional (not true). The offer remained at $500.
I was in an out in an hour or so. I'm glad they finally came to Mobile !
I had the best car buying experience. The sales staff was so helpful and very quick to respond to all of my questions. I didn't have to pay a transfer fee to have my car shipped from Kentucky to Mobile, AL. The car arrived almost 2 weeks earlier than expected. I will definitely go to Carmax in the future. Very very pleased!
