Other than that it's a fair room to stay for 1 night at most.

The rooms were clean but needs some updating. The pool was big, it was clean and stayed open late, it was the best part of our stay. That's why it gets 2 stars instead of 1. The breakfast consisted of pancakes, cereal, pastries, boiled eggs, coffee and juice. The front desk staff at night was helpful. The day shift front desk accused us of taking the towels at check out, saying the house keeper saw us take them. The housekeeper did not even replenish nor refresh the room during our stay. There was one guy that was rude to guest. He made a smart remark about getting ice from the ice machine to us and I observed him questioning a guest about walking her dog and asked her was it a service dog, then went to the front desk and questioned the clerk about it. He didn't introduce himself to us or the other quest he was questioning. I don't know what his deal was. Also there are people that live in their rooms like maintenance and housekeeping, etc.. Sad to say it was observed that some shady business and illegal activities happening here.

This hotel deserves a negative 5! My husband drove 14 hrs from Fort Leavenworth to Mobile AL visiting family for the holidays, booked this hotel in advance to get there and it’s filthy! He’s exhausted and he had to come to a filthy, moldy run down motel (i meant hotel) . My husband isn’t the type of man that complains, he barely complains about stuff, so when he called and said he wasn’t staying in this hotel i knew something was up! I feel so bad because he’s tired & ready to go to sleep. They wouldn’t even give him cash back so he could find another hotel in the area! 5 thumbs down! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! READ REVIEWS BEFORE YOU STAY! That’s one pet peeve i HATE is a dirty hotel and poor customer service!

This place is beyond unprofessional and the rooms are beyond disgusting. I live in Florida where we had a state of emergency and this place was the last resort for me and my family as we were tight on money and couldn't drive any further to look for a room. I went through a website that allowed me to book a last minute reservation with the Hotel at a set price. It was 79.00 per night as I agreed for 3 days at a total of 304.00. I'm thinking that there were some taxes and hotel fees charged with the total amount of the set prices that were given. These disgusting people charged me 120.00 for the first night which was on a Saturday and 73.00 for Sunday and Monday. The room was dirty and the towels in my room smelled horrible and reeked of a cologne smell, the bed was poorly made, the lamp shades was dirty, the shower curtain had brown stains, the bathroom was outdated with mold and rust, the coffee pot had a chalky white substance all around it and they had the most raggedy sitting chairs in the room with one next to the bed. The chair had lost it's color and the cushion was worn out....smh. I complained to the front desk and the Manager acted as if he didn't care and when I told him I wasn't staying another night and asked for a refund, he only refunded me 166.00 out of 304.00....smh I asked him why did he charge me 120.00 for one night plus taxes, he said because the rates change everyday, but I just saw him give 2 rooms to 2 different customers for a set price of 79.00 for a room with 2 beds for a 3 day period, while I was over charged for a 1 bed room at the same price but paid way more money on the 1st night. I asked for a manager and he refused to call him and said there was no manager on shift today. When I asked for a refund at 9 am to leave the hotel, he says they did not have any money on the property and that I would need to wait until he could get some money. I'm thinking who in the hell doesn't have money on their property but accepts cash as a payment...

This place is disturbingly gross. I wish there was a score for zero. The concierge was nice enough but unkempt in appearance. It took what seemed like forever to obtain a room because the first one the locks didn't work the second the heater didn't work and the third the maintenance guy wouldn't even let us in the room and said this room is not gonna work for you. I don't know what that meant but after surveying our room I don't think I really want to know. We finally got room #158. We were so tired we didn't inspect the room before we unloaded our luggage. Then we started to notice how filthy the room was. It's one thing to be a little outdated. When you're on a budget you get what you pay for but this room for $80 was a joke. There is no excuse for it to be unclean. The bed skirt had mold on it. The toilet had urine and pubic hair on the back seat. The tub had a film on the bottom which looked like it was sprayed to keep you from slipping in the tub. It was not smooth but bumpy and rough. Several tiles were cracked in the shower. The ceiling looked like it had a leak at one point and they didn't replace the drywall. The iron was missing. There was hair near the cups on the sink. The cups had no plastic sanitary covering. The Ice Bucket had dust and hair on top of it. There were toenail clippings on the carpet. The lamp shades had a weird stain around the rim and some were cracked. Finally, there appeared to be dried bloody finger prints on the lamp stand. I brought this to the attention of the concierge and he apologized and blamed it on the lazy house keeping. We got a refund and sped out of there as fast as we could.

Caveat: In fairness the "one star" is not fitting. This stay deserves a negative 5 stars - minimum. I've been around athletic facilities for nearly all my 49 years. I'm no stranger to the smell of sweat or locker rooms. Room 123 smelled worse than than any locker, gym, etc. I had ever been in. I virtually never complain about anything, but even I can only take so much. I tried to get used to the smell but no dice. So I went to the front desk and asked to be moved. The guy just offered a can of spray to try and make the room livable. No luck...and that's not the fault of the spray - nothing short of a burning body or tear gas was going to change the smell of 123...and both of those would have made improvements. So I returned the spray and just breathed through my mouth for the next 10 hours. To cap it off my first room assignment was for 113. Some poor hotel guest had the awkward experience of me walking in on him when I opened the door. Also got two lotions, no shampoo or conditioner. Slipshod operation. So, I checked out the following morning (relieved I could once again breathe through my nostrils) and very discreetly informed the young lady behind the counter about the room and its horrid smell. I may as well said that in some language spoken only by extraterrestrials because she didn't bat an eye, ask any questions, say she was sorry my experience was unpleasant, etc. She was as emotionless as a Greek stoic philosopher. At least the dude from the night before made an effort and apologized. I did ask him for another room to no avail, but he cared some at least. Bottom line, if you have NO, I repeat NO sense of smell, this Baymont might be just fine for you. If you DO have some olfactory capability, and have a reservation for this place - just spend that night under an interstate overpass. It won't be safe, but you'll breathe easier.
