Booked this Hotel to stay at night before cruise the next day . Vacation cruise was cancelled due to work . Hotel refused to refund any portion of the one night paid six weeks advance notice of change in plans . Spoke to several different employees including general manager who simply said no refunds period . This is from the individual owner who makes the rules and has no compassion for anyone. Most legitimate owners would say I'm so sorry please refund the amount already paid and please stay with us in the future and we understand . Not at this hotel so my review is actually -1 for complete lack of professionalism .
This Holiday Inn is in a convenient location if I happen to be taking a cruise. I am always welcomed to valet park car in their parking deck while I cruise. They offer a ride to The Port of Mobile and pick me up when I return. Checking in! Room service, “Wonderful “. Then a good nights sleep.
A wonderful hotel. clean, bright and cheerful inside. Employees always welcome me with a smile. Rooms offer all your needs.
I I could have carried on a conversation through the wall with the people in the next room. Checked in Friday. Next morning woken by a person also assigned to the room. 10 minutes later the front desk called to ask me what my name is. Thought it was all straightened out at that point, but no. 10 minutes later another knock on the door. The cleaning lady wants to know what my name is. 10 minutes later another knock on the door. The maintenance guy wants to know my name. The general manager sent him up to ask. I told him if the GM wants to know what my name is he can either check his register or get his ass up here and ask me himself. 10 minutes later another knock on the door. It's Steven the general manager. "Steven why is everyone asking what my last name is?" "It is for your protection in case someone needed to reach me." "If someone needs to reach me Steven they'll call me on my cell phone." A mistake I can tolerate, but BS I cannot.
I attended a party that was held at the Skyview Lounge at the top of the hotel. The facility was quite beautiful and had a spectacular View. The catering was very unique and had some very special Seafood offerings as well as some more normal Fair. The bar was a bit small for the size if it that we had but the staff at the facility was very attentive and made sure that we weren't low on anything. Overall I would recommend this venue for small groups medium sized groups you really can't beat the view of the downtown area.
I can't rate this hotel any higher. I'm currently staying here while evacuating from Florida due to hurricane Irma, and the whole hotel staff from the woman who made my reservation, the whole front desk staff, and the house keeping staff have done an excellent job of making us feel at home. First off, the front desk clerk (didn't get her name, but she has blonde hair) made sure we had a room for the whole time that we had to be evacuated. And being away for so long, we needed more toiletries in our room, and the house keeping staff has done an excellent job of giving us fresh towels, blankets, and even extra coffee in our room. Also, the hotel is beautiful, very clean, and the extra parking across the street is very accommodating. Thank you so much for all you've done Holiday Inn!!
Don't stay here they only want your money .i must add I stayed here in the past and there are numerous homeless people in the area asking for money . The front desk staff will warn you about them however.
