Convenient to downtown (10-12 minutes) and out of town. Had an issue during my stay that was resolved quickly and professionally on site, plus received quick follow up communication from manager after stay.
A huge shout-out to the staff at the Courtyard Marriott in Mobile where we recently stayed with our tennis team for a USTA tournament. We couldn't have been treated better by everyone we interacted with. In the mornings we needed early breakfasts to get to the courts in time for warm-ups, and our ready to go breakfast orders were all waiting for us at 6:30, bagged individually and prepared early that morning according to instructions from the night before. Our late checkouts were accommodated without questions, any special requests we had were always tended to promptly, and everyone we interacted displayed a genuine interest in our success on the tennis courts, asking each evening when we returned how we had done. Aside from the staff, the facility is very nice. We never ran out of ice for our substantial coolers thanks to a giant ice maker, the food was excellent, and the rooms perfectly sized with very efficient shower heads in the bathroom. I highly recommend the Mobile Courtyard Marriott to anyone looking for a good value accommodation that makes you feel like royalty.
For the price you pay you would expect a microwave and a refrigerator big enough to keep a gallon of tea. After spending all day away from the hotel we come back to a dirty room. The beds were not made, the towels had not been changed out and garbage was not removed. Called front desk to order food from the bistro and was told I had to come downstairs to order. That is not what their written instructions said for me to do. Called back and she acted like I was bothering her but she placed my order. 35 minutes she hadn't called so I went down to find my food on the counter cold. So I paid $40 for cold pizza and cold hot wings. Not impressed and if my house wouldn't have flooded I wouldn't have stayed as long as I did
This was a very average Courtyard. Nothing bad to say. The front desk was friendly with good service. There's nothing WOW about the hotel or location.
The room and hotel were very nice. Breakfast is not complimentary, but there is a cafe on site that food can be purchased from. The entire hotel is non-smoking (some hotels in Mobile allow smoking).
