I normally do not rate places or complain like this. However, I was very disappointed, especially for the price paid to stay here. Staff was kind, for the most part. Especially a nice woman on staff whom was present during breakfast in the lobby. However, the quality of the rooms are very poor. We had to change rooms twice in one night due to issues. The first room had 1/2 of the room’s carpet damp with fluid of some sort. I placed a towel down and brown fluid soaked up onto the towel. When I called front desk, concerned it was a leak, I was suggested that it might be due to the carpet being steam cleaned (which I find hard to believe). I assured the clerk that it was brown fluid and he offered to change my room. The second room, the light didn’t work. The room also smelt of mold and mildew. For the third room, front desk did upgrade the room for free of upcharges, to one with a jacuzzi. However, this room still had a foul smell as well. Both first and third rooms had stained sheets and were not up to my cleanliness standards or what would be expected. There is no reason why someone should pay $65 to sleep in stained sheets, dusty, mildewing or unclean room. I just don’t want the same disappointment to fall into someone else.
You get what you pay for however that being said this is a good place if you are looking for a comfortable place to sleep and a good hot breakfast. Definitely worth the money. Would use again.
The outside of the hotel and lobby were typical of the price range. The desk clerk was nice and the breakfast was adequate. The cleanliness and the upkeep of the room, however, was extremely poor. Everything was dusty and dirty actually fell out of the guest book. The light fixture on the wall above the nightstand was mostly rusted with some peeling paint. The shower rod was attached to the wall with a raw piece of wood. The bathroom door had been badly repainted. The towels were thin and so rough they could have doubled as sandpaper.
I stayed here just because I needed sleep from all the overtime I was working and I stay so far away. My sleep was very pleasant and no disturbances from anyone. Comfortable bed and pillows. Room was clean and organized.
I made your reservation online requested smoking room not sure why did I shouldn't have I didn't smoke in the room anyways my dad has had a massive coronary and triple emergency bypass surgery. He's in recovery from this and he's not been released from the doctor to do certain things but of course he still partially mindful bulletproof so he thinks he can do anything still and then he tries it and realizes he shouldn't. The rooms for smoking are upstairs only they have no elevator my dad was sure he could do those stairs so we didn't change the room. Once I got him up the stairs he didn't go out again until we left the next day LOL I went and got food and brought it back to the room and we ate there. The rooms were nice price was reasonable compared to everybody around them they really had a good price and a good breakfast in the morning, real breakfast, real food LOL.
