We stayed here on November 11th and had a less than great stay. As Marriott Rewards Members our experience was discouraging. We have a family with 4 children that were beyond excited for a quick night getaway at hotel with a pool. Come to find out that the pool was not being heated as it should've been and the indoor pool area itself had been heavily smoked in the evening before with ash all over the pool furniture and floor. The front office hospitality staff was less than eager to resolve any of our issues. I would highly encourage checking out a different hotel in the area. If you stay here, bring sanitizing wipes for your breakfast table and try hard not to look at the filthy coffee syrup bottles as you pour your morning cup of coffee. I did give it 2 stars because the room itself was fine but when you take a 3 hour drive to check out the amazing USS Alabama Battleship and look forward to a special treat and promise of "a hotel with a swimming pool" and you can't can't use it...it puts a damper on the whole trip.
Location was a little confusing. We actually tried to check into the Fairfield Inn next door because of the signage. Not a big deal and easily we're directed to the correct hotel. Our room was HUGE and very clean. The staff were very friendly! Great experience.
Residence Inn is my home away from home. I have stayed here 16 nights a month since February. Always a friendly place to come home to. Staff is always helpful. Intend to bring my girlfriend and her kids here again on my next rotation. They love it here and it's nice to not have to leave them alone while I travel. Give this place a try and I know that you will enjoy it as much as we have...

GREAT stay! My family and I stayed here due to mandatory evacuation in Florida during hurricane Irma. I'm so thankful we were able to get a room here. The staff is GREAT and the room was spacious and clean. Thanks to one of the best hospitality staffs for making a not so pleasant situation easier to handle during this time.
